The Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) provides financial and budget planning information. Specifically, to repair credit problems, home purchasing, spending vs. savings issues, tuition assistance, utility cost relief, and more. The FOC tailors’ the unique financial situation of citizens to the resources required to make a financial “Fresh Start.”
The program, supported by LISC, helps low-to-moderate income families and individuals achieve financial stability by implementing the integrated services approach. This approach is a new way to offer four core services:
1. Financial coaching and education to help build assets
2. Employment and career development
3. Better access to public benefits
4. Life skills training
This strategy creates new opportunities for individuals and helps connect employers to well-prepared workers. Open to all Peoria and Tri-County residents.
