Tazewell-Woodford Head Start is a federally funded program that empowers families and promotes school readiness in preschool aged children. Tazewell-Woodford Head Start serves approximately 234 families in the surrounding communities. Our teachers follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and Illinois Learning Standards. They also work with surrounding school districts and agencies to serve individual needs. Along with educational services we provide health, nutrition, transportation, parent involvement, and family support.
