The Salvation Army shelter in the gym at the same location is open overnight 5pm-10:30am, Monday through Sunday, for warming or cooling. Usually limited to 10-15 people at most for this purpose.

For life-threatening concerns, please call 911 or be taken to your nearest emergency department. Proudly affiliated with Carle Health, Trillium Place is a not for profit organization originally formed in April 2019 by joining UnityPoint Health Behavioral Health Services, the Human Service Center, and Tazwood Center for Wellness. With locations in Peoria, East Peoria, Pekin, Lincoln, and Eureka, Trillium Place provides a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services.

The program also offers mental health training to physicians and staff, physician to physician consultation, and care coordination.

The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program is for families with children and pregnant women who need temporary cash assistance. Those receiving TANF also receive medical assistance. Most TANF families also receive SNAP benefits to buy food.

One of the focuses of the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) is supporting a safety net for caregivers in crisis. The IRC has Emergency Respite funding stipends for caregivers across Illinois in a planned or unplanned emergency. This program provides funding so caregivers can pay for services they choose. Crisis situations that may qualify for the Emergency Respite Program include, but are not limited to the following circumstances: -Caregiver illness (physical, mental, and/or emotional) -Caregiver hospitalization or doctor appointments -Illness of a loved one -Funeral or wake -Drug or alcohol abuse counseling or support -Care recipient transitions (i.e. living arrangements) -Loss of employment or work related situations -Declining Mental Health
