There can be thousands of customers calling on a given day, and Tazwood has around 20 staff answering the phones and scheduling appointments. It is important to remember that LIHEAP runs from October 1, 2025 - August 15, 2026, or until funding is exhausted. Intervention and Substance Abuse services are offered in a five county area (Knox, Henry, Warren, Henderson and McDonough) in West Central Illinois. The Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) is a not-for-profit organization of caregivers and respite providers dedicated to advocating support for families by ensuring access to quality respite services for the residents of Illinois. The IRC is dedicated to spreading the awareness of lifespan respite for caregivers of individuals with special needs. The IRC is able to assist caregivers by connecting them to resources in their area, providing training on respite topics, and offering funding for emergency respite care.

Provides information and assistance with OSF HealthCare financial assistance and charity care programs for patients who have received or plan to receive care through an OSF facility and are unable to afford their medical bills. Assistance includes help applying for financial assistance, understanding billing statements, and discussing payment options related to OSF-provided services.

Peoria Jobs Partnership is a Christian mentoring program for people who might be experiencing problems getting gainful employment. For the general public, there is the Community Program. The curriculum includes 12 classes, taught by different community professionals over a 12-week period. Students are required to complete homework for each class, and are awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program. The Community Program allows students access to great instructor/ practitioners, and allows them contacts with community leaders that can act as advocates for them when they seek employment. Additional programs, such as Solar Training and the Fresh Start Workshop, are offered for individuals with a felony in their background and those re-entering society from incarceration.
