The OSF Care-A-Van focuses on the under-served areas of Peoria, providing free healthcare services that include blood pressure screenings, doctor consultations, nurse visits, exercise consults, dietician consults, health education, insurance consults, linkage with a primary care doctor, discussion of general health concerns, and spiritual support. The program can be accessed without an appointment, on a first come, first serve basis. All services are free of charge.

The Fulton County Health Department administers the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for the county. LIHEAP provides energy assistance for eligible low income families in which a benefit is paid directly to the utility companies on behalf of eligible households, or directly to renters if the utility costs are included in their rent. The benefit amount will be credited to the households primary winter heating source (gas vs. electric). Rebuilding Together Peoria is an organized volunteer effort that rehabilitates the homes of eligible city of Peoria, East Peoria, Richwoods Township, and Peoria County residents, particularly the elderly or disabled, who cannot maintain their homes. Projects range from yard clean up to more extensive renovations involving plastering, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. The organization typically completes projects on 15 homes or non-profit facilities each year.
