The Single Family Housing Repair Loans & Grants program through the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development division is also known as the Section 504 Home Repair program. Washington Helps Its People (WHIP) is a local food pantry created to meet the needs of people within the 61571 zip code. This all-volunteer organization began providing assistance with food for area families in the early 1980s. Today WHIP serves between 120 and 140 families on each of the two days a month it is open for distribution of food. Thanks to the generous contributions from the Washington Township United Fund, local churches, schools, businesses, and Washington residents; WHIP is able to support families in their time of need.

The mission of Suzan Ortman Caregiver Support is to provide informative and educational support meetings for caregivers in the El Paso community, as well as to encourage peer group discussions, allowing caregivers to openly share their experiences and journeys. In addition, the group strives to engage the community in raising awareness about caregiving and inspire future generations to learn and understand its importance across all ages. To achieve this, monthly Caregiver Support meetings and Community Education Sessions are offered at the El Paso Public Library. The initiative also includes the "Be KIND to Your MIND" Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Group, which meets at the library as well.

Peoria Jobs Partnership is a Christian mentoring program for people who might be experiencing problems getting gainful employment. For the general public, there is the Community Program. The curriculum includes 12 classes, taught by different community professionals over a 12-week period. Students are required to complete homework for each class, and are awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program. The Community Program allows students access to great instructor/ practitioners, and allows them contacts with community leaders that can act as advocates for them when they seek employment. Additional programs, such as Solar Training and the Fresh Start Workshop, are offered for individuals with a felony in their background and those re-entering society from incarceration. It Takes A Village of Peoria is aimed at collaborating with organizations, parents, students, teaching personnel, and citizens to support students' academic success.
