The Intake Team review referral information, determine eligibility for services, and ensure linkage with Bridgeway service area designed to meet the consumer’s identified mental health needs. Additionally, the intake clinician will work with the consumer to provide linkage and/or information related to resources to meet needs that go beyond the scope of Bridgeway services.

The Gateway Foundation's Peoria location provides outpatient psychiatric care and substance use treatment (and linkage with/transportation to inpatient treatment at their other Illinois locations) for people age 18+. Additionally, the location offers mental health services to patients who may require individual therapy or medication management, regardless of whether or not they have a substance use condition.

Washington Helps Its People (WHIP) is a local food pantry created to meet the needs of people within the 61571 zip code. This all-volunteer organization began providing assistance with food for area families in the early 1980s. Today WHIP serves between 120 and 140 families on each of the two days a month it is open for distribution of food. Thanks to the generous contributions from the Washington Township United Fund, local churches, schools, businesses, and Washington residents; WHIP is able to support families in their time of need.
