Since 1983, Freedom House has provided a safe and free haven for victims of domestic and sexual violence and their children. It serves the residents of Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark Counties in Illinois and is supported by public, corporate, and private funds. In addition to shelter services, Freedom House provides domestic and sexual violence prevention programs, prevention programs for grade school and high school students, medical and legal advocacy, and volunteer support.

Henry County Public Transportation provides demand response (transportation by appointment), curb to curb service throughout Henry, Stark, and Western Bureau Counties. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Tenth Judicial Circuit is a non-profit, volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children within the juvenile abuse and neglect court system in Peoria, Tazewell, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties.

It Takes A Village of Peoria is aimed at collaborating with organizations, parents, students, teaching personnel, and citizens to support students' academic success. The organization offers a "Village" store inside of Peoria area schools that provides free clothing, school supplies, and food. Assistance is also occasionally available for adults in the general public.

Services offered include- Individual Counseling One-on-one confidential therapy for mental health and/or substance use disorder concerns. Helping to develop and improve coping skills for everyday challenges, life stressors, and personal growth using evidence-based tools and individualized treatment planning. Substance Use Disorder Treatment Groups Level 1 Outpatient and Level 2 Intensive Outpatient treatment groups are designed to help patients achieve changes in alcohol and/or drug use and addictive behaviors. Patients will learn new coping skills, recovery strategies, build interpersonal skills, and develop social support networks. Accelerated Resolution Therapy ART-Accelerated resolution therapy, is a type of therapy that combines principles from several traditional forms of psychotherapy to reduce the effect of trauma and other psychological stressors by using techniques such as rapid eye movement and image rescripting. ART is geared toward individuals with Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) Addictions, and more.
