The Peoria County Emergency Management Agency develops, plans, and coordinates resources to protect residents and visitors from the hazards that threaten their communities; and serves as the link between the Local, County, State, and Federal agencies in the emergency management network.

Also offered are respite care to provide caregivers a break, and 24/7 multiple shift care.

The Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC) of Fulton County is available to assist veterans with their VA administrative needs, like filing claims; re-certifying paperwork with the VA; obtaining military and civilian medical documents, etc. for help with Veterans Administration claims; registering for VA Health Care; and acquiring legal copies of military records to include copies of Certificate of Discharge and Release from Active Duty (DD-214). The VAC has an accredited veteran service officer available to file claims. The office also offers Emergency Financial Assistance to Honorably Discharged Fulton County Veterans who qualify under the Federal Poverty Guidelines. In addition, the Veterans Assistance Commission provides free transportation to and from VA Health Care Facility appointments in Illinois and Iowa. These rides are on a first come first serve basis. Veterans should call in to reserve their ride immediately upon notification of their next appointment.

The MSAA Equipment Distribution Program offers clients products designed to improve safety, dignity, mobility, and independence. MSAA provides these products at no charge and ships directly to the client. Items distributed through the program include home safety products such as shower chairs and grab bars, as well as mobility devices including canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.

Victim/Witness Advocates offer advocacy and wraparound services to victims who report their crimes to the Peoria County State's Attorney's Office. People served include: homicide survivors, victims of violent crimes (i.e., domestic violence, robbery, assault, stalking, sexual assault, elder abuse, hit and run, etc.), and victims of property crimes (i.e., burglary, theft, forgery, criminal damage to property, etc.). Victim/Witness Advocates address and coordinate issues ranging from informing victims/witnesses of court dates to finding and recommending various services available for victims. Advocates may accompany victims/witnesses to court and explain the step-by-step process of criminal prosecution.

Tazewell Woodford Head Start serves approximately 350 families in the surrounding communities. Teachers follow a developmentally-appropriate curriculum based on the Head Start Framework and Illinois Learning Standards.
