AABD (Aid to the Aged, Blind, or Disabled)

Currently, they offer educational field trips for special education and life skills classes. There is no charge for a school to come and visit the farm. Their field trips typically include interacting with our farm animals, music, crafts, hay rack rides (dependent upon the size of the group) and learning opportunities revolving around crops grown on the farm, animal care and general farm knowledge. They are home to ten alpacas, four donkeys, chickens, a horse and two golden retrievers.

The Patient Rights Foundation serves as an active liaison between the patient and their insurer, employer and/or creditors to resolve insurance, job retention and/or debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis through case managers, doctors and attorneys.

One of the focuses of the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) is supporting a safety net for caregivers in crisis. The IRC has Emergency Respite funding stipends for caregivers across Illinois in a planned or unplanned emergency. This program provides funding so caregivers can pay for services they choose. Crisis situations that may qualify for the Emergency Respite Program include, but are not limited to the following circumstances: -Caregiver illness (physical, mental, and/or emotional) -Caregiver hospitalization or doctor appointments -Illness of a loved one -Funeral or wake -Drug or alcohol abuse counseling or support -Care recipient transitions (i.e. living arrangements) -Loss of employment or work related situations -Declining Mental Health

Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only). Expenses Ineligible for consideration for payment: *Military debt/repayment, tuition assistance debt/repayment *Cable, internet, secondary phones *Taxes owed of any kind *Rentals of any kind (vehicle, furniture, and/or electronics) *Any other expenses not determined to be a "daily necessity" The eligible and ineligible expense lists are not all inclusive. 4-H is the youth development program of University of Illinois Extension, offering hands-on learning experiences for young people ages 8 to 18 ("Cloverbud" clubs available for ages 5 to 7). The program helps youth build life skills, leadership abilities, and career readiness through activities in science, technology, agriculture, health, civic engagement, and the arts. Participants can join local 4-H community clubs, take part in short-term “SPIN” clubs, enroll in project areas, or attend workshops, camps, and statewide events. Adult volunteers provide mentorship, and youth work on projects that develop problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and responsibility. 4-H welcomes young people from all backgrounds and interests--rural, suburban, and urban--and supports positive youth development through experiential learning, leadership opportunities, and community involvement.

St. Francis Woods is an Illinois-certified supportive living facility in Peoria, Illinois. It provides an alternative to nursing home care for individuals age 65 and over with low incomes because it accepts Medicaid. Private pay residents are welcomed as well. As a participant in the state's Supportive Living Program,the facility offers personalized care and individual attention to all residents while providing them with the services they need to remain independent. The campus is nestled on 7 wooded acres, providing a an opportunity to observe wildlife and enjoy the changing scenery throughout the year.
