The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is a nonprofit serving people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). Callers receive personalized information about multiple sclerosis and connections to local and national resources related to MS. Service coordinators and peer counselors can talk through needs, answer questions, and help find the right support. Through the helpline, people with MS can also learn about and apply for a variety of support programs (eligibility usually requires an MS diagnosis), such as *Emergency Assistance Grant -- financial help for urgent needs like rent or utility bills (documentation required) *Healthcare Assistance Grant -- helps uninsured individuals pay for neurologist or dental visits *Homecare Assistance Grant – short-term homecare, caregiver respite, therapy services *Transportation Assistance Grant – funding for paratransit or rides to medical appointments (Lyft/Uber) and minor car repairs *Assistive Technology Program – info and partial funding for devices that aid daily living (e.g., canes, adaptive tech) *Computer Program – provides computers to help people with MS stay connected. *Cooling Program – cooling vests and accessories for heat sensitivity. In addition, the helpline can connect callers to peer counseling, advice on local support groups, and online communities.

Peoria County Triad is a safety organization that focuses on reducing crime victimization of seniors. This is a combined effort between the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, Peoria Police Department, and other agencies in the community that work in senior services. The areas of concern covered include identity theft, scams, personal safety, home safety, and elder abuse.

The Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) provides financial and budget planning information. Specifically, to repair credit problems, home purchasing, spending vs. savings issues, tuition assistance, utility cost relief, and more. The FOC tailors’ the unique financial situation of citizens to the resources required to make a financial “Fresh Start.” The program, supported by LISC, helps low-to-moderate income families and individuals achieve financial stability by implementing the integrated services approach. This approach is a new way to offer four core services: 1. Financial coaching and education to help build assets 2. Employment and career development 3. Better access to public benefits 4. Life skills training This strategy creates new opportunities for individuals and helps connect employers to well-prepared workers. Open to all Peoria and Tri-County residents.

JOLT Harm Reduction provides a variety of free services, including -Naloxone/Narcan and Overdose Prevention Kits and Training -Drug Checking (analysis of drugs to verify composition for more informed consumption and to avoid highly dangerous substances/adulterants) -Peer Recovery Navigation (exploring recovery options and offering support through the process) -Sexual Health & Testing (free and confidential testing for HIV/AIDS, Hep. C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphillis. Free condoms, lubrication, and PrEP/PeP) -Harm Reduction (Free and sterile syringes, safe using supplies, alcohol pads, sterile water, tourniquets, sharps containers, and wound care) -Street Outreach (outreach to people who are living unsheltered, people who use drugs, and people who perform sex work) -Sex Worker Outreach (RUG, the Red Umbrella Group, is a mutual aid, peer support, online community for people involved in sex work. Cordoba Healthcare works with local doctors, nurses, community volunteers, and students to provide a free specialty medical clinic model. Areas of specialization include cardiology, gastroenterology and liver, nephrology (kidney disease), pulmonary, basic dental services (depending on situation), and more. Cordoba collaborates with Heartland Health Services and local hospitals to receive referrals for specialty treatment, but also accepts self-referrals from patients. Services offered include Personal Care, Alzheimer's and Dementia Support, Hospice Support, Chronic Illness Care, Home Helper (grocery shopping, meal planning, light housekeeping), Transportation, and Companionship.

The Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living (IVCIL) is a nonprofit service and advocacy organization that assists persons with disabilities in opening doors to their independence. IVCIL provides services for persons with disabilities, their families, and the community in Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties.

The Fulton County Health Department offers a variety of public health services. Also, there is a Free Overdose Prevention Vending Machine located just inside the front doors, available during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

The mission of Fulton County Rural Transit (FCRT) is to provide safe, affordable and cost-effective public transportation to the citizens of Fulton County, with an emphasis on services to the economically disadvantaged, seniors and the disabled.

The Gateway Foundation's Peoria location provides outpatient psychiatric care and substance use treatment (and linkage with/transportation to inpatient treatment at their other Illinois locations) for people age 18+. Additionally, the location offers mental health services to patients who may require individual therapy or medication management, regardless of whether or not they have a substance use condition.

A program for children in state custody who are unable to remain safely in their home. Children in foster care stay with a family who provides safety, nurturing, support and role models for change. Foster care is meant to be a temporary, short term solution to an emergency situation. Foster placement may be for a single day or several weeks and some continue for years. (Available in 20 counties)

The LGBT National Youth Talkline provides a confidential safe space where youth can speak about sexual orientation or gender identity/expression issues. This includes coming out issues, relationship concerns, bullying, school issues, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer sex information, and much more.
