Mindset Care specializes in assisting individuals with mental health diagnoses, developmental and physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, those in critical care situations, and their caregivers in applying for Social Security Disability benefits - SSI and SSDI. The National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) provides career services, training, youth services, housing, and financial assistance to eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFW) and their dependents who reside in Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin. This program helps farmworkers and their dependents acquire the necessary skills to either stabilize their current employment or advance in their agricultural jobs. Additionally, individuals may obtain employment in locally high-demand industries with the goal of gaining higher wages and year-round employment. UMOS case managers work with clients to assess what their strengths are currently, how they wish to develop professionally, where they can best get the vocational training, and then provide the financial support to ensure clients accomplish these goals.

SilverCloud, OSF's online Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program is available for anyone 18 and older. It is a NON CRISIS program, and is self guided. The Marquette Elementary Preschool program offers two morning and two afternoon classes. One class is blended with special education and can accommodate up to 15 children, the other classroom 20 children.

The Share Closet is a community resale store carrying a variety of clothing, kitchen supplies, furniture, decor, toys, books, and much more. The Share Closet also collects medical supplies, bedding, kitchen, and baby supplies to give to those in need. The site operates as a thrift store but provides certificates for individuals who cannot afford needed items.

The One Peoria Back to School & Health Fair takes place on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Glen Oak Park. The event offers free backpacks, school supplies, and uniforms, with priority given to the first 200 kids. Through the helpline, people with MS can also learn about and apply for a variety of support programs (eligibility usually requires an MS diagnosis), such as *Emergency Assistance Grant -- financial help for urgent needs like rent or utility bills (documentation required) *Healthcare Assistance Grant -- helps uninsured individuals pay for neurologist or dental visits *Homecare Assistance Grant – short-term homecare, caregiver respite, therapy services *Transportation Assistance Grant – funding for paratransit or rides to medical appointments (Lyft/Uber) and minor car repairs *Assistive Technology Program – info and partial funding for devices that aid daily living (e.g., canes, adaptive tech) *Computer Program – provides computers to help people with MS stay connected. *Cooling Program – cooling vests and accessories for heat sensitivity. The Central Illinois Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, formerly known as the Peoria Area Blind People's Center until October 2013, was founded on May 9, 1955, by the members of the Illinois Social Club of the Blind and the Peoria District Association of the Blind. The Center was developed in order to provide vital services and support to individuals facing the uncertainties and challenges related to uncorrectable vision loss. The Center’s goal is to educate its members and provide them with independent living skills, helping to optimize individuals’ opportunities to lead an independent life.

It Takes A Village of Peoria is aimed at collaborating with organizations, parents, students, teaching personnel, and citizens to support students' academic success. The organization offers a "Village" store inside of Peoria area schools that provides free clothing, school supplies, and food. Children's Home is helping to keep families involved with DCFS through in-home counseling contracts. Family Based Intervention (FBI) provides individual and family therapy to children as young as two-years-old up through adults with trauma or mental health concerns who have an open case with Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and reside in Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford counties. The counseling services address individual concerns and family dynamics, crisis intervention, parent education, advocacy, and community outreach. The goals of the program are to keep families together who are still intact and to reunify families whose children are youth in care.
