The Veterans Assistance program is an emergency and interim financial assistance program and should not be considered to be an ongoing financial supportive program. All assistance provided by the VACPC is predicated on an established standard of need as set forth by IDHS. It is not the intent of either the Commission or the County to provide assistance either less than or in excess of the levels of assistance adopted by IDHS. The following assistance is given upon qualification: *Food Orders and Personal Items: Depending on size of family. *Utilities and Fuel: Utility payments will be made, providing the applicant qualifies in other respects. No deposits or past due bills will be paid to the utility company. *Rent Payments: This Veterans Assistance office does not pay security deposits, back rents, or home finding fees. Rents shall not be paid to relatives unless it is a separate rental dwelling. *Transportation: The VA will provide Transportation for the veteran to the local Veterans Medical Center by the least expensive means when necessary.

Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only). Expenses Ineligible for consideration for payment: *Military debt/repayment, tuition assistance debt/repayment *Cable, internet, secondary phones *Taxes owed of any kind *Rentals of any kind (vehicle, furniture, and/or electronics) *Any other expenses not determined to be a "daily necessity" The eligible and ineligible expense lists are not all inclusive. Each case will be carefully reviewed for its own merits. All applications are individually reviewed, and the VFW reserves the right to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

DRS works in partnership with people with disabilities and their families to assist them in making informed choices to achieve full community participation through employment, education, and independent living opportunities.

Henry County Public Transportation provides demand response (transportation by appointment), curb to curb service throughout Henry, Stark, and Western Bureau Counties. The service also travels to: -Illinois side of the Quad Cities every Tuesday -Princeton the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month -Galesburg the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month -Peoria every Thursday The vehicle arrives at these further destinations by 10:30 A.M. and departs to come back no later than 1:15 P.M. Solvera Health is a comprehensive care center located in Peoria. Solvera partners with many community organizations to provide access to healthcare. Services include on-site pharmacy, physical therapy, labs, and diagnostics. Complimentary transportation is also offered.

The purpose of Peoria Mothers of Twins (PMOT) is to support mothers of multiples. PMOT members try to meet monthly. PMOT also has a private Facebook group where members can reach out for advice and support 24/7.

The organization offers a "Village" store inside of Peoria area schools that provides free clothing, school supplies, and food. Assistance is also occasionally available for adults in the general public.

Agape Counseling provides Christian counseling and psychological services.

The Institute for Human Resources offers substance use disorder intervention programs.

Brightside Recovery in provides comprehensive treatment services to address the underlying causes of addiction alongside the physical symptoms. In addition to in-person services, Brightside offers completely remote treatment via telehealth, providing drug screens, medication delivery, and virtual counseling. Treatment programs include those focusing on fentanyl, heroin, and Kratom (70H) addiction, as well as transitioning off of methadone. Medication-assisted treatments (MAT) available include Suboxone, Sublocade, Vivitrol, and Brixadi.

The goal of the Woodford County Health Department is to protect the public's health through disease prevention, healthy lifestyle promotion, food safety oversight, limited environmental testing, and other services.

The Fulton County Health Department administers the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for the county. LIHEAP provides energy assistance for eligible low income families in which a benefit is paid directly to the utility companies on behalf of eligible households, or directly to renters if the utility costs are included in their rent. The benefit amount will be credited to the households primary winter heating source (gas vs. electric). The program can also occasionally assist with emergency furnace repair/replacement. ================================= 2025-26 LIHEAP LIHEAP runs October 1, 2025 to August 15, 2026, or until funding is exhausted.

Heartland Health Services is a federally funded organization that provides medical, mental health, and substance use services for everyone, including low-income adults and children, regardless of ability to pay. The Salvation Army Canton & Fulton County 360 Life Center offers a variety of services for Fulton County residents in need. This location partners with Loving Bottoms to offer diapers, wipes, period kits including pads and tampons, as well as adult diapers and bed pads.

Delavan Preschool for All offers half-day preschool (both in the morning and afternoon) for children in Delavan School District 703.

The Fulton County Health Department offers a variety of public health services. Also, there is a Free Overdose Prevention Vending Machine located just inside the front doors, available during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
