Almost Home Kids at OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois provides care to children under 22 who are most often dependent on medical technology, such as ventilators, feeding tubes, or central lines. Respite care offers families a period of rest from one to 14 days. In addition, transitional care is offered for children with medical complexities who are medically stable and ready to leave the hospital, but whose families need some extra time to make preparations for their child's return home.

Services offered include support by certified recovery specialists, assistance with problem solving and goal settings, crisis intervention and safety planning, linkage to referrals, such as food, housing and healthcare services, and healthy refreshments. HealthWell provides financial assistance to eligible individuals to cover coinsurance, copayments, health care premiums. HealthWell assists uninsured patients who need help paying for their insurance premiums. If you are eligible for an insurance plan that would pay for your treatments, but are having trouble affording the premium, HealthWell may be able to help. HealthWell cannot assist uninsured patients who need help paying the full cost of their treatment. However, HealthWell can refer you to other resources that may be helpful, such as drug manufacturers’ patient assistance programs.

Family Connects is a free postpartum home visiting program available to any family who resides in Peoria County.
