DRS works in partnership with people with disabilities and their families to assist them in making informed choices to achieve full community participation through employment, education, and independent living opportunities.

The Heartland Health Services Mobile Health Center offers psychiatric and substance use services in Peoria and Pekin. For psychiatric services, the mobile center focuses on psychiatric medication management, but can refer into the main Heartland Health Services provider network for mental health counseling and additional services. For substance use services, the center includes both a counseling component and the option of medication assisted recovery.

The Emergency Management Agency was created to combine all Emergency Preparedness Programs including Civil Defense. By state law, the Emergency Management Agency is a required County Department. The Tazewell County Health Department serves as a site for the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program for Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Marshall counties. The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program offers free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to eligible women. Even if a woman has already been diagnosed with cancer, she may receive free treatment if she qualifies.

This learning track boasts 3,961 feet of curves, one-way streets, a four-lane divided highway, traffic signals, overpasses, ramps and 79 various traffic signs. It provides a great place for younger riders to learn the rules of the road or a safe arena for older, more experienced riders to have fun. Please bring your own bikes and wear a properly-fitted and adjusted helmet at all times. There is a covered bleacher seating area, picnic tables, and drinking fountain — plus a brand new family restroom, picnic shelter and toddler playground appropriate for children ages 2-5. The Safety Town track and grounds are open daily, dawn to dusk, and are free of charge.
