The Community Workshop and Training Center’s Community Integration Program provides a goal oriented program of services that assist in the development of skills in the areas of community access, communication, socialization, pre-vocational skills and academic skills. Also under this umbrella is the Older Adult Program which focuses on the issues associated with the impact of aging on social, physical, employment and psychosocial needs.

The Healthier Homes Initiative is a no-cost program providing eligible Ameren Illinois residential customers with home upgrades and minor repairs to improve safety, comfort, indoor air quality and overall home health. Eligible customers may receive energy efficiency improvements to their home such as air sealing, insulation, lighting replacement, ventilation and moisture control measures, and other safety measures. Upgrades and minor repairs are based on an assessment conducted by qualified contractors.

The Western Illinois Dreamers Peoria Welcome Center acts as a hub for immigrants and refugees to connect with community resources, receive guidance on their rights, and navigate the many unique aspects of their experience.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Tenth Judicial Circuit is a non-profit, volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children within the juvenile abuse and neglect court system in Peoria, Tazewell, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties.

For individuals representing themselves in a civil legal case, volunteer attorneys are available for one-time, 30 minute online consultations to answer questions, explain legal procedures, and provide general direction on the case. Volunteers are only available to provide brief and one-time advice and information. They are not able to provide representation in court for the legal matter. The help desk is not able to assist with matters involving domestic violence, or on emergency petitions or orders.

Trillium Place Access Center, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides information and linkage to Trillium Place mental health and substance use programs and services located in Central Illinois. Trillium Place provides comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder services. Mental health outpatient services include counseling, community-based services, and psychiatry. Substance use disorder programs include inpatient, outpatient, medication assisted treatment, and detoxification services. Proudly affiliated with Carle Health, Trillium Place is a not-for-profit organization originally formed in April 2019 by joining UnityPoint Health Behavioral Health Services, the Human Service Center, and Tazwood Center for Wellness. With locations in Peoria, East Peoria, Pekin, Lincoln, and Eureka, Trillium Place provides a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services.

The Salvation Army Heartland Division provides limited veteran housing assistance through SSVF or Supportive Services for Veteran Families. The program is a housing stability-focused service delivery program for very low-income veteran families throughout Central Illinois. This program serves individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness or imminently at risk of being homeless. The goal is to stabilize in housing, while providing on-going support as needed to sustain independent living. *Please note that the Veterans Outreach Center is not able to assist with mortgage, contract for deed, rent to own, or car payments.

Positive Health Solutions provides a wide variety of services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQ+ population, as well as certain outreach/prevention programs for the general public*. Services include- -Supporting program-related needs of eligible individuals that meet the Ryan White Program guidelines -Transgender and nonbinary health services, including hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery navigation. -Medical health services (maintain health through routine appointments and immunizations) -Mental health services (support and counseling for individuals, couples, and families) -Wellness education (certified dietitian on staff provides counseling and education about diet, food, and nutrition) -Case management (comprehensive assessment and care plan for services and referrals) -Peer education (supportive staff providing suggestions to all clients about ways to deal with many health issues and improve quality of life) -Outreach* (prevention counseling, testing, education programs, and events addressing the specific needs of the diverse community) -Advocacy (working with the local community and the Advisory Council to speak, act, and vote on behalf of the community)

The Tazewell County Health Department serves as a site for the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program for Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Marshall counties. The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program offers free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to eligible women. Even if a woman has already been diagnosed with cancer, she may receive free treatment if she qualifies.
