These professionals provide support to adults, teens, and children seeking diagnosis, short or long-term treatment (including medication, when appropriate), and management of mental and emotional health challenges. The Restaurant Employee Relief Fund is a program of the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF) that offers emergency assistance to Illinois food and beverage workers facing an unanticipated hardship within the past 90 days such as: accident, illness, injury, death of an immediate family member, or natural disaster. If you are in need of assistance, please complete the online application form. All grant requests will be reviewed. The IRAEF Restaurant Employee Relief Fund grants are awarded to eligible individuals based on available funds and limited to one per individual. Grants cover costs of living expenses for life-altering events and range from $250-$3,000.

NeedyMeds is a national non-profit that tracks programs that help people pay for medications and health care, including limited transportation, and assists those in need in applying to those programs.

The Pediatric Resource Center (PRC) is a community service program of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. The PRC provides direct services to suspected child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect in a child-friendly manner and setting. Medical and social service staff also provide adjunct services to parents, guardians and caretakers. Additionally, they work in collaboration with the many agencies and systems that are involved in a child abuse case. The PRC is affiliated with the Children's Hospital of Illinois at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. The Peoria Friendship House is a faith-based organization reaching out to all those in need, regardless of faith. Core programs include- *Financial Stability Program The purpose of the Financial Stability program is to help participants to increase their revenue while decreasing their expenses, thus helping them to improve their quality of life. This is a case management program that provides financial, credit and employment education, training, coaching and mentorship while providing basic needs like food, clothing, transportation, healthcare, and hygiene products. *Citizenship Classes Includes assistance with application process & Individual Attention/Support. Completely free. *La Familia La Familia Program that strives to restore dignity and protect our local Latino community by providing culturally responsive and healing support across the lifespan, from children to seniors. *S.T.E.A.M.S Academy An after-school program for K-8th graders that focuses on increasing learning potential with a concentration on one-on-one tutoring, enrichment activities and service learning opportunities. It features the S.T.E.A.M.S curriculum, which includes First Lego League, allowing children to research, design, and build Lego Robot. The goal is that the children grow to love learning and look beyond simply passing their school courses, but dream to excel far beyond. When school is out for the summer, there is an eight-week Summer Camp program focusing on leadership development that provides four consecutive 2-week camp themes with an enriching diverse program in a fun and safe environment. The children learn about healthy living, giving back to one's community through service learning, and social and emotional well-being. *Pathway to YOUR Future Designed specifically to prepare, teach, and support high school students' transition into adulthood. Juvenile offenders are given the opportunity to make restitution, connect with the community, and receive needed services and support. Peoria Friendship House works in tandem with various organizations to provide aid to juvenile offenders via referral sources such as the Peoria Police Department Station Adjustments, Peoria Public Schools discipline referrals, and Peoria County Probation Informal Supervision.

Prairieland Service Coordination Inc. provides screening and coordination services for individuals with developmental disabilities. These efforts can lead to funding through the Medicaid Waiver for services, as well as residential placement.

First Hand Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) organization that provides funding for individual children—both domestically and globally—who need assistance with clinical necessities (such as surgery, medication and therapy), medical equipment and travel related to care. The Addiction Recovery Center at Carle Health Proctor Hospital provides a comprehensive range of substance use disorder services. The Addiction Recovery Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment programs for adults aged 18 and older. Programs include withdrawal management, medically monitored inpatient, partial hospitalization (with and without boarding), outpatient, early intervention, and medication assisted recovery. Services are also available for adults with behavioral addictions such as compulsive gambling, food, sexual addiction, internet, video game, shopping/spending and chronic pain with addiction.

Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only).
