The OSF Strive Trauma Recovery Program provides trauma-informed therapy, case management, and legal advocacy services for individuals age 6 and up in Peoria County who are survivors of, witnesses to, or family members of survivors (or victims in cases of murder) of violent crime. Services are offered at several locations, including OSF Hospital and Emergency Department, OSF Outpatient office (214Pecan St., Peoria 61602), Manual Academy (and some other Peoria Public Schools), Wrap-Around Center in Trewyn, and in homes and other locations as needed.

-Personal Care-bathing assistance, assistance with dressing, and assistance with grooming -Light housekeeping -Laundry -Meal Preparation, including shopping and assistance with meal planning -Errands or Transportation -Companionship - available 24 hours a day, if needed

Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only). Expenses Ineligible for consideration for payment: *Military debt/repayment, tuition assistance debt/repayment *Cable, internet, secondary phones *Taxes owed of any kind *Rentals of any kind (vehicle, furniture, and/or electronics) *Any other expenses not determined to be a "daily necessity" The eligible and ineligible expense lists are not all inclusive. Each case will be carefully reviewed for its own merits. All applications are individually reviewed, and the VFW reserves the right to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

The Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living (IVCIL) is a nonprofit service and advocacy organization that assists persons with disabilities in opening doors to their independence. IVCIL provides services for persons with disabilities, their families, and the community in Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties.

Trillium Place on Hamilton, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides walk-in substance use disorder and mental health disorder assessments Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm for residential, outpatient, and medication assisted treatment programs. Other services provided at this location include outpatient substance use disorder counseling, DUI evaluation services, and outpatient mental health counseling. Spoon River Home Health's home health care services include nursing assessments, wound care, medication management, education, and IV therapy, as well as therapy services -Physical, Occupation and Speech therapies. The Non-Medical side offers 24 hour care, personal care, transportation, companionship, and many more services. Services are set up based on individuals needs. A home visit is made to discuss services, develop a personalized care plan and provide the best possible services to help keep the person safe in their home. Spoon River Home Health also provide emergency response systems for those who are not quite ready for home care but are looking for peace of mind.

The Hult Center for Healthy Living is Peoria's largest non-profit provider of comprehensive health education and wellness services for people of all ages. The organization serves the communities of central Illinois through youth health education programs, senior programs, mental health programs, and cancer programs and services.

Carle Health Methodist Hospital offers acute inpatient mental health care for adults, adolescents, and children.

Oak Street Health's Peoria Clinic is a primary care center for adults on Medicare and is the only primary care provider to carry the AARP name. Oak Street Health also helps patients maximize their Medicare coverage and coordinate other healthcare services such as specialist appointments and social services. Care teams develop personalized preventive care plans to help patients achieve their physical and mental health goals. Services offered at the Peoria location include primary care, chronic condition care (especially focused on those ages 65+), help navigating Medicare benefits, wellness and preventive care, and immunizations (Flu, COVID-19, and more). Oak Street Health's Peoria Clinic also serves as a cooling or warming center during business hours for those needing a break from extreme temperatures.

The Rock Island County Health Department acts as the site for the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program for Stark, Putnam, Bureau, Henry, Mercer, Rock Island, and Whiteside counties. The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program offers free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to eligible women. Even if a woman has already been diagnosed with cancer, she may receive free treatment through the program if she qualifies.

Must align with Comfort Keepers' services (non-medical in-home assistance). They are very flexible in making this work. For example, a disabled individual or a senior might call about a ride to an appointment and Comfort Keepers could make this possible by seeing if the person would like to have his or laundry done, which would involve them for non-medical in-home assistance and allow them to provide the transportation.

The Salvation Army Canton & Fulton County 360 Life Center offers a variety of services for Fulton County residents in need. This location partners with Loving Bottoms to offer diapers, wipes, period kits including pads and tampons, as well as adult diapers and bed pads.

The New Day Senior Services In-Home Counseling and Friendly Visitor programs are offered for seniors age 60 years and older in Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, Marshall, Stark, and Fulton counties so that they can continue to live in their own residence and improve their quality of life. New Day Senior Services also provides training in the community on mental health issues to seniors and other professionals who work with older adults.
