Children Need their families and families need their children. Intact Family Services is a voluntary program designed to keep each family intact when the threat of separation is real. This program works with at-risk families who have been referred for continuing assistance and monitoring following a child abuse and neglect investigation with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The goals of this program are to enable children to remain safely in their home, make reasonable efforts to keep families together, address and resolve the issues that place the children at risk, and to avoid having children separated from their family. Children's Home Association of Illinois caseworkers will help the family develop a short-term, agreed upon plan to make the changes that will help keep children safe. They will act as a support system and resource without judgement, working to ensure all children in the home are safe and supported. FamilyCore offers the Single Parent Program, which provides guidance in many areas, including parenting skills, counseling, the job finding process, returning to school, securing a home, and money management.

Family Connects is a free postpartum home visiting program available to any family who resides in Peoria County. Good Beginnings is a prenatal and postpartum home visiting program that provides services and support to qualified first-time and second-time caregivers in Peoria and Tazewell counties. Good Beginnings program offerings include: -Community-based doulas provide labor support, education, postpartum care, and home visits to mothers in the program beginning at the third trimester through six weeks postpartum. -Home-Visiting Family Support Specialists provide activities, education, and resources to help you be the best caregiver you can be. -Prenatal classes are available for expectant birthing people and their partners to learn the best ways to keep everyone healthy during pregnancy. ----------------------------------------------------------- Additional exclusive programs for all enrolled Good Beginnings families include: -Spanish and English parent support groups provide additional resources to help caregivers create safe and stable home environments for children in their care

The Salvation Army of Canton offers the Pathway of Hope, an intensive program designed for individuals and families who are trying to move up the ladder of financial stability. A caseworker will meet with individuals for one hour per week and provide case management that includes setting and achieving goals, personalized plans, and a network of support and resources.

Crittenton Centers offers no-cost services to strengthen families, including-- parental education classes, support groups, home visits, and family advocacy for those involved with child welfare services.

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions offers foster care, adoption, counseling, youth, and senior services programs.

Resource Link offers guidance on finding mental health care providers, including those outside of the OSF network, who serve children and adolescents. This service is open to the general public. The program also offers mental health training to physicians and staff, physician to physician consultation, and care coordination.

Safe Families for Children is a movement aimed at keeping children safe and families intact. Through host families, family friends, and family coaches, Safe Families for Children temporarily hosts children and provides a network of support to families in crisis while they get back on their feet.

Caregiver Connections at Children's Home provides professional development for early childhood caregivers. Caregiver Connections provides consultation and education for early childhood educators and caregivers. Children's Home staff provide professional development, trainings, referrals, and mental health support to help equip centers with knowledge about how to handle children with questionable or concerning behaviors.
