We work together as a team with law enforcement, child protection agencies, prosecution, advocates, counselors, and medical professionals to evaluate and investigate cases of child abuse while reducing the trauma to children and families.

Children's Home is helping to keep families involved with DCFS through in-home counseling contracts. Family Based Intervention (FBI) provides individual and family therapy to children as young as two-years-old up through adults with trauma or mental health concerns who have an open case with Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and reside in Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford counties. The counseling services address individual concerns and family dynamics, crisis intervention, parent education, advocacy, and community outreach. The goals of the program are to keep families together who are still intact and to reunify families whose children are youth in care. The Addiction Recovery Center at Carle Health Proctor Hospital provides a comprehensive range of substance use disorder services. The Addiction Recovery Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment programs for adults aged 18 and older. Programs include withdrawal management, medically monitored inpatient, partial hospitalization (with and without boarding), outpatient, early intervention, and medication assisted recovery. Services are also available for adults with behavioral addictions such as compulsive gambling, food, sexual addiction, internet, video game, shopping/spending and chronic pain with addiction.
