Services include confirmation of pregnancy and ultrasounds, but the center does not provide ongoing prenatal care or abortions. In addition to the listed services, the Women's Care Center offers the following program: Crib Club/BABE The Crib Club/BABE program provides cribs, diapers, clothing and other baby items under an incentive system that rewards participation in parenting classes, prenatal care and other programs. Coupons are provided which can be redeemed at the Crib Club stores.

St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Minonk has a 24/7 food pantry at the top of the church ramp, on the east side of the church, available to residents of Minonk in need. Food, cleaning, hygiene items, and pet food are consistently stocked. In addition, St. Pat's has items for new mothers/infants, including diapers, wipes, water, formula, clothing, and blankets. Smart Start can help clients connect to services in Peoria County such as- -Housing -Transportation -Counseling -Shelters -Food programs -Medical care referrals -Education -Prenatal, postpartum, and infant care education Who gets to receive Smart Start's free services? You can receive help from Smart Start at no cost if: -You are pregnant or have an infant under age 1, and -You live in Peoria County, and -You qualify under the state's income guidelines How does Smart Start work? The Smart Start team will work with clients to help them determine the services they need and then assist them in connecting with the service providers. No transportation? No problem. Smart Start case managers do home visits Monday through Friday. *Smart Start can potentially assist their clients with cribs, pack 'n plays, and car seats.

The risk of sleep-related infant death is up to 10 times higher when bed sharing. To decrease the number of infant deaths in Illinois the first steps begin with education and access. The Peoria County Coroner's Office has developed a program that is open to families in Central Illinois in need of safe sleep environments. No matter your circumstances, the office is happy to provide you with safe sleep education and Pack-N-Play for your infant age 12 months and younger. You do not need to live in Peoria County to participate in this program. The program is open to all of those who are in need. It is asked that caregivers complete training through Cribs for Kids prior to picking up the Pack-N-Play. ==================================================================================================== As of May 2026, the office is out of Pack-N-Plays until further notice. However, please still contact the office for a referral to SIDS of Illinois who can also provide Cribettes to qualifying caregivers.

Through its Project Safe Sleep Program, Sudden Infant Death Services (SIDS) of Illinois offers the Crib Referral service. Clients in need of a crib can be referred to SIDS of IL by any healthcare professional, faith-based organization, family case management entity, etc. Please note that the application MUST come from such a provider. Also, it should be confirmed that the client's Medicaid plan does not offer such a service. For example, Illinois Medicaid providers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield and Meridian have historically covered a crib or Cribette.
