PCCEO Head Start offers seven early childhood learning centers.

Tazewell Woodford Head Start is a federally funded program that empowers families and promotes school readiness in preschool-age children. Tazewell Woodford Head Start serves approximately 350 families in the surrounding communities. Teachers follow a developmentally-appropriate curriculum based on the Head Start Framework and Illinois Learning Standards.

The Marquette Elementary Preschool program offers two morning and two afternoon classes. One class is blended with special education and can accommodate up to 15 children, the other classroom 20 children.

Delavan Preschool for All offers half-day preschool (both in the morning and afternoon) for children in Delavan School District 703.

Bright Futures offers a preschool program in all Peoria County school districts, except for District 150.

The Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center is a school for children ages 3 to 7 years old and their families. Our early childhood program provides care and education in a developmentally appropriate, NAEYC Accredited environment. Guided by the philosophy that all children can learn, Valeska operates year round serving approximately 400 at-risk children from all areas of Peoria Public Schools. Children will gain accelerated development of social, emotional, language, and cognitive ability in a secure and stable environment, children enter the center and join one of our four villages. Valeska's villages serve as a hub for many family and community activities.

The Pekin Preschool Family Education Center offers half-day preschool to eligible three and four years old in Pekin Public School District 108. Special education services are available as well.

Our teachers follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and Illinois Learning Standards. They also work with surrounding school districts and agencies to serve individual needs. Along with educational services we provide health, nutrition, transportation, parent involvement, and family support.

Learning Connections of Bartonville is a non-profit, DCFS-licensed learning center that offers care and learning opportunities for children from ages 6 weeks through 5 years.
