Smart Start can help clients connect to services in Peoria County such as- -Housing -Transportation -Counseling -Shelters -Food programs -Medical care referrals -Education -Prenatal, postpartum, and infant care education Who gets to receive Smart Start's free services? You can receive help from Smart Start at no cost if: -You are pregnant or have an infant under age 1, and -You live in Peoria County, and -You qualify under the state's income guidelines How does Smart Start work? In addition to the listed services, the Women's Care Center offers the following program: Crib Club/BABE The Crib Club/BABE program provides cribs, diapers, clothing and other baby items under an incentive system that rewards participation in parenting classes, prenatal care and other programs.
