As a result, they support each other to pursue their goals and unite the school community for long-term change. *Peoria Peacekeepers The Peoria Peacekeepers Network is a referral program established by the Peoria Friendship House that focuses on using a restorative justice approach to provide juvenile offenders who have admitted to committing certain eligible offenses, misdemeanors, or felony. Juvenile offenders are given the opportunity to make restitution, connect with the community, and receive needed services and support. Peoria Friendship House works in tandem with various organizations to provide aid to juvenile offenders via referral sources such as the Peoria Police Department Station Adjustments, Peoria Public Schools discipline referrals, and Peoria County Probation Informal Supervision.

The Children's Home Association of Illinois offers 24-hour crisis intervention services for youth, ages 10 to 17, in Peoria County who have runaway, been "locked out" by a parent, or who refuse to return home after coming in contact with law enforcement. Parents may call to make a referral for youth who have experienced similar problems but who have not yet come in contact with law enforcement. The program works to preserve or reunify the living situation. Services are available for up to three months and may include crisis counseling, mediation, short-term placement, individual/family/group counseling, recreation, skill building, advocacy and linkage to other services.

Community Needs Agency in Chillicothe is an all-volunteer resource center that serves residents of Illinois Valley Central School District 321 (Chillicothe, Rome, Mossville area). All programs and services are income-based. A couple of service clarifications: -Emergency food can be provided as available to clients by appointment only. -One aspect of energy assistance is LIHEAP application assistance, offered by appointment only for clients.

Services include confirmation of pregnancy and ultrasounds, but the center does not provide ongoing prenatal care or abortions. In addition to the listed services, the Women's Care Center offers the following program: Crib Club/BABE The Crib Club/BABE program provides cribs, diapers, clothing and other baby items under an incentive system that rewards participation in parenting classes, prenatal care and other programs. Often they are working at two or three jobs or suffer from ill-health. They simply need a little bit of help, and Poverello Outreach strives to assist them.

There can be thousands of customers calling on a given day, and Tazwood has around 20 staff answering the phones and scheduling appointments.
