OSF Saint Francis - Behavioral & Mental Health offers comprehensive outpatient and more limited inpatient behavioral & psychiatric services for adults. For comprehensive behavioral health service linkage (including outside of the OSF network), please also check with OSF Behavioral Health Navigators (309-308-8150). The service is free.

The Division of Rehabilitation Services is the state's lead agency serving individuals with disabilities. DRS works in partnership with people with disabilities and their families to assist them in making informed choices to achieve full community participation through employment, education, and independent living opportunities.

Peoria County Bright Futures offers several programs for children, age four and under, and their parents; as well as for expectant parents. Among the most prominent programs are preschool and home visiting. Preschool locations include Farmington, Elmwood, Dunlap, Illini Bluffs, Norwood, Oak Grove, Peoria Heights, Pleasant Hill and Princeville. Special education services are offered as well.

The Veterans Assistance program is an emergency and interim financial assistance program and should not be considered to be an ongoing financial supportive program. All assistance provided by the VACPC is predicated on an established standard of need as set forth by IDHS. It is not the intent of either the Commission or the County to provide assistance either less than or in excess of the levels of assistance adopted by IDHS. The following assistance is given upon qualification: *Food Orders and Personal Items: Depending on size of family. *Utilities and Fuel: Utility payments will be made, providing the applicant qualifies in other respects. No deposits or past due bills will be paid to the utility company. *Rent Payments: This Veterans Assistance office does not pay security deposits, back rents, or home finding fees. Rents shall not be paid to relatives unless it is a separate rental dwelling. *Transportation: The VA will provide Transportation for the veteran to the local Veterans Medical Center by the least expensive means when necessary.

It Takes A Village of Peoria is aimed at collaborating with organizations, parents, students, teaching personnel, and citizens to support students' academic success. The organization offers a "Village" store inside of Peoria area schools that provides free clothing, school supplies, and food. Assistance is also occasionally available for adults in the general public.

Trillium Place on Hamilton, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides walk-in substance use disorder and mental health disorder assessments Monday through Friday from 8am-2pm for residential, outpatient, and medication assisted treatment programs. Other services provided at this location include outpatient substance use disorder counseling, DUI evaluation services, and outpatient mental health counseling. The HOPE Chest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sells and sometimes donates furniture, appliances, and other household items. The organization also offers a food and pet pantry. Please note that the pantry is at 1416 N. 8th St.

The Stark County Good Samaritan Fund accepts applications from working families in the area that have needs beyond their means to pay. The Fund provides stop gap assistance to get them back on their feet and can potentially assist with a variety of services. About one third of all funds will be used to pay utility bills. Another one third will pay for housing, rent or mortgage payments. The final third will end up going for everything from medical services, to car mufflers. The aim is to keep the people in their present homes, to keep their car working so they can get to work, and to get them needed medical attention so that they can work. The Fund has a board that determines who qualifies for help and how much help can be provided. The board also governs all other aspects of the organization.

The Addiction Recovery Center at Carle Health Proctor Hospital provides a comprehensive range of substance use disorder services. The Addiction Recovery Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment programs for adults aged 18 and older. Programs include withdrawal management, medically monitored inpatient, partial hospitalization (with and without boarding), outpatient, early intervention, and medication assisted recovery. Services are also available for adults with behavioral addictions such as compulsive gambling, food, sexual addiction, internet, video game, shopping/spending and chronic pain with addiction.

The Center for Prevention of Abuse is the only agency in the State of Illinois to provide combined services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault/abuse, and elder/disabled adult abuse. The Center also reaches students age pre-K through college with violence prevention education, as well as abusers with an abuser re-education program.

JOLT Harm Reduction provides a variety of free services, including -Naloxone/Narcan and Overdose Prevention Kits and Training -Drug Checking (analysis of drugs to verify composition for more informed consumption and to avoid highly dangerous substances/adulterants) -Peer Recovery Navigation (exploring recovery options and offering support through the process) -Sexual Health & Testing (free and confidential testing for HIV/AIDS, Hep. C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphillis. Free condoms, lubrication, and PrEP/PeP) -Harm Reduction (Free and sterile syringes, safe using supplies, alcohol pads, sterile water, tourniquets, sharps containers, and wound care) -Street Outreach (outreach to people who are living unsheltered, people who use drugs, and people who perform sex work) -Sex Worker Outreach (RUG, the Red Umbrella Group, is a mutual aid, peer support, online community for people involved in sex work. The group is invite only to protect those who participate) -Peer Support Groups for people struggling with any kind of substance use (not just opioids) and the Trans Community -Sharps Disposal

The Henry County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will implement a comprehensive all hazards emergency management program using sound risk management principles that will improve responder safety, interoperability, quality of life while minimizing adverse effects through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery activities. Since 1983, Freedom House has provided a safe and free haven for victims of domestic and sexual violence and their children. It serves the residents of Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark Counties in Illinois and is supported by public, corporate, and private funds. In addition to shelter services, Freedom House provides domestic and sexual violence prevention programs, prevention programs for grade school and high school students, medical and legal advocacy, and volunteer support.

People who receive assistance from the Poverello Outreach ministry are hardworking men and women who are simply having a tough time making ends meet. Often they are working at two or three jobs or suffer from ill-health. They simply need a little bit of help, and Poverello Outreach strives to assist them.

Service Inc. of Illinois provides information, assessment, and referral services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. This can include assistance with accessing group homes and other supports.
