Hooked on Fishing is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides fishing opportunities for the community, with a focus on children, senior citizens, and special needs groups. All fishing is “catch and release." Equipment and bait is provided.

Beyond the basics, teaching can cover fish biology, knot tying, fishing ethics, fishing techniques and good fishing sportsmanship. Hooked on Fishing is happy to work with teachers, scout masters, and group leaders to custom design instructional programs that meet their specific educational objectives. Because of the importance of artesian wells in supplying water to to Hooked on Fishing's ponds, instruction can also be provided on aquifers, artesian wells, and water quality issues. Enthusiastic volunteers are able to provide much one-on-one help, guidance, and instruction to novice anglers.
