The Mackinaw Community Center Food Pantry is available to Mackinaw and Deer Creek residents on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month. In addition to food boxes, the food pantry provides school supplies for any child in need that attends Dee Mack schools.

Trillium Place Pekin, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services for adults and adolescents ages 13-17. DUI evaluations and related services are also available at this location. Walk-in assessments are available Tues, Wed, and Thurs from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Call Trillium Place Pekin or the Trillium Place Access Center to learn more about available services or schedule an appointment. Dental Lifeline Network (formerly the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped) is a national humanitarian organization providing access to comprehensive dental services for people with disabilities or who are elderly (determined by office) or medically at-risk. Dental Lifeline Network provides these services through a national network of direct service programs that involve 15,000 volunteer dentists and 3,200 volunteer labs. Typically, the patient will not receive treatment the same day that he or she applies, so this is not the best option for a dental emergency.

It is open to all City of Peoria families and individuals, regardless of whether they have students attending Peoria Public Schools. Bridgeway's Outpatient Services provide services to all persons referred who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges that are impacting their ability to functioning and reside in the Bridgeway service area. Bridgeway provides a continuum of care with a philosophy of serving persons based on their needs in the least restrictive level of care. Bridgeway provides the following mental health recovery services: -Individual Counseling -Group Counseling -Community Support Services -Psychiatric Services -Medication Monitoring Intake teams are composed of qualified mental health professionals, licensed clinicians and designated program support specialists who are responsible for accepting referrals and completing necessary intake documentation. The Intake Team review referral information, determine eligibility for services, and ensure linkage with Bridgeway service area designed to meet the consumer’s identified mental health needs. Additionally, the intake clinician will work with the consumer to provide linkage and/or information related to resources to meet needs that go beyond the scope of Bridgeway services.

Modest Needs offers grants designed to promote the self-sufficiency of individuals and families who, because they are working and live just above the poverty level, are ineligible for most types of conventional social assistance but who, all the same, are living one or two lost paychecks away from the kind of financial catastrophe that eventually leads to homelessness. Modest Needs programs are designed to help those who work hard and have nowhere else to go for assistance, as well as those who give back to our communities and country such as public school teachers, first responders, veterans returning from service abroad and active duty military members. Generally, Modest Needs offers Self-Sufficiency Grants to qualified individuals/households who need help to afford two specific types of expenses: 1) Unexpected or emergency expenses that an individual or family living paycheck-to-paycheck could not possibly afford without a short-term hand-up. 2) Monthly bills that an individual or family living paycheck-to-paycheck cannot afford to pay at the time of their application because of a documentable extenuating circumstance that occurred within the past year. The office is able to provide expert guidance on Social Security questions. Among the case management services offered by Living by Your Design are one on one case management with a nurse, as well as bill paying assistance.
