Family Connects is a free postpartum home visiting program available to any family who resides in Peoria County. The Pekin Preschool Family Education Center's Prenatal to Three Program offers the following: -Free personal home visits (bi-weekly) -Build and develop family's strengths and goals -Ages and Stages developmental screenings for children -Friendly parent groups to meet and socialize with other parents -Connections to resources and other agencies in the area -Special family events throughout the year -Play groups to encourage peer social interaction -Toy and Book Lending Library -Research-based Baby Talk curriculum for children prenatal to 3 years old -Educational activities -Spanish-speaking Family Educator available

Peoria County Bright Futures offers several programs for children, age four and under, and their parents; as well as for expectant parents. Among the most prominent programs are preschool and home visiting. Preschool locations include Farmington, Elmwood, Dunlap, Illini Bluffs, Norwood, Oak Grove, Peoria Heights, Pleasant Hill and Princeville. Norwood, Pleasant Hill, and Pleasant Valley preschool locations are half-day, while all others are full day. Special education services are offered as well.

Good Beginnings is a prenatal and postpartum home visiting program that provides services and support to qualified first-time and second-time caregivers in Peoria and Tazewell counties.
