Boys & Girls Clubs Families 2000 is a "Parent as Teachers" affiliate. The program is focused on preparing children age newborn to three for the academic system through family empowerment strategies such as enhancing parenting skills, counseling, home visitation, healthy living skills guidance, developmental screening, and creative activities to empower families to manage everyday life changes. There are no fees associated with participation in this program.

Family Connects is a free postpartum home visiting program available to any family who resides in Peoria County. Good Beginnings is a prenatal and postpartum home visiting program that provides services and support to qualified first-time and second-time caregivers in Peoria and Tazewell counties. The Family Case Management (FCM) program serves pregnant women and infants. If you are pregnant or have a child up to the age of one, and are on Medicaid, or part of a low-income family you may be eligible. The Family Case Management program can help you: -find a doctor for a healthy pregnancy or child care -understand the importance of a reproductive health plan -understand the importance of early and regular prenatal care -understand the importance regularly scheduled well child visits and immunizations -understand the stages of your child's development

Early Learning For All (ELFA) is a part of Peoria Regional Office of Education and encompasses programming and services for ages prenatal through five. ELFA's two main programs, Preschool For All and Home Visiting, are both funded through the Illinois State Board of Education's Early Childhood Block Grant. ELFA supports families from all over the county and has no district residency requirements. Preschool for All has locations at St. Paul Baptist Church in Peoria, and at Hollis Grade School and Oak Grove School in Bartonville. These locations are all full day (8:15-3:15) Home Visiting focuses on partnering, facilitating, and reflecting with families while working to develop children's motor, language, intellectual, and social-emotional skills.

Crittenton Centers' Milestones Program is offered in clients' homes and provides family/parenting education and ongoing child development screenings. Peoria County Bright Futures offers several programs for children, age four and under, and their parents; as well as for expectant parents. Among the most prominent programs are preschool and home visiting. Preschool locations include Farmington, Elmwood, Dunlap, Illini Bluffs, Norwood, Oak Grove, Peoria Heights, Pleasant Hill and Princeville. Special education services are offered as well.
