Community Needs Agency in Chillicothe is an all-volunteer resource center that serves residents of Illinois Valley Central School District 321 (Chillicothe, Rome, Mossville area). All programs and services are income-based. A couple of service clarifications: -Emergency food can be provided as available to clients by appointment only. -One aspect of energy assistance is LIHEAP application assistance, offered by appointment only for clients.

The Graham Health System mental/behavioral health care staff includes Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP), a Licensed Clinical Practice Counselor (LCPC), and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). These professionals provide support to adults, teens, and children seeking diagnosis, short or long-term treatment (including medication, when appropriate), and management of mental and emotional health challenges. Services are offered, by appointment, at the Canton, Elmwood, Farmington, Macomb, and Lewistown locations.

Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only). Trillium Place East Peoria, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides assessments and outpatient services for mental health and substance use disorders for adults and adolescents. DUI evaluations and related services are also available at this location. The Tazewell County Health Department serves as a site for the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program for Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Marshall counties. The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program offers free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to eligible women. Even if a woman has already been diagnosed with cancer, she may receive free treatment if she qualifies.

These services can help aging adults stay engaged in everyday life with tailor-made support by professional caregivers to stay safe and well at home. Services offered include Personal Care, Alzheimer's and Dementia Support, Hospice Support, Chronic Illness Care, Home Helper (grocery shopping, meal planning, light housekeeping), Transportation, and Companionship.

WCSEA provides a full continuum of special education services to eight school districts in Woodford County, Illinois. The association also coordinates Preschool for All.

The Mackinaw Police Department serves the village in numerous ways. Among these, it participates in Project Childsafe, which offers gun locks free of charge for safety in the home. Anyone interested in obtaining gun locks may call the department during normal business hours. The department also has a medication disposal drop box in front of its facility.

St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Minonk has a 24/7 food pantry at the top of the church ramp, on the east side of the church, available to residents of Minonk in need. Food, cleaning, hygiene items, and pet food are consistently stocked. In addition, St. Pat's has items for new mothers/infants, including diapers, wipes, water, formula, clothing, and blankets. The Restaurant Employee Relief Fund is a program of the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF) that offers emergency assistance to Illinois food and beverage workers facing an unanticipated hardship within the past 90 days such as: accident, illness, injury, death of an immediate family member, or natural disaster. If you are in need of assistance, please complete the online application form. All grant requests will be reviewed. The IRAEF Restaurant Employee Relief Fund grants are awarded to eligible individuals based on available funds and limited to one per individual. Grants cover costs of living expenses for life-altering events and range from $250-$3,000.
