The Division of Rehabilitation Services is the state's lead agency serving individuals with disabilities. DRS works in partnership with people with disabilities and their families to assist them in making informed choices to achieve full community participation through employment, education, and independent living opportunities.

One of the focuses of the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) is supporting a safety net for caregivers in crisis. The IRC has Emergency Respite funding stipends for caregivers across Illinois in a planned or unplanned emergency. This program provides funding so caregivers can pay for services they choose. Crisis situations that may qualify for the Emergency Respite Program include, but are not limited to the following circumstances: -Caregiver illness (physical, mental, and/or emotional) -Caregiver hospitalization or doctor appointments -Illness of a loved one -Funeral or wake -Drug or alcohol abuse counseling or support -Care recipient transitions (i.e. living arrangements) -Loss of employment or work related situations -Declining Mental Health

The Gateway Foundation's Peoria location provides outpatient psychiatric care and substance use treatment (and linkage with/transportation to inpatient treatment at their other Illinois locations) for people age 18+. Additionally, the location offers mental health services to patients who may require individual therapy or medication management, regardless of whether or not they have a substance use condition.

Modest Needs offers grants designed to promote the self-sufficiency of individuals and families who, because they are working and live just above the poverty level, are ineligible for most types of conventional social assistance but who, all the same, are living one or two lost paychecks away from the kind of financial catastrophe that eventually leads to homelessness. Modest Needs programs are designed to help those who work hard and have nowhere else to go for assistance, as well as those who give back to our communities and country such as public school teachers, first responders, veterans returning from service abroad and active duty military members. Generally, Modest Needs offers Self-Sufficiency Grants to qualified individuals/households who need help to afford two specific types of expenses: 1) Unexpected or emergency expenses that an individual or family living paycheck-to-paycheck could not possibly afford without a short-term hand-up. 2) Monthly bills that an individual or family living paycheck-to-paycheck cannot afford to pay at the time of their application because of a documentable extenuating circumstance that occurred within the past year. Women's Care Center is faith-based organization that offers free, confidential counseling, support, and education to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Services include confirmation of pregnancy and ultrasounds, but the center does not provide ongoing prenatal care or abortions. In addition to the listed services, the Women's Care Center offers the following program: Crib Club/BABE The Crib Club/BABE program provides cribs, diapers, clothing and other baby items under an incentive system that rewards participation in parenting classes, prenatal care and other programs. Coupons are provided which can be redeemed at the Crib Club stores.

The goal of the Woodford County Health Department is to protect the public's health through disease prevention, healthy lifestyle promotion, food safety oversight, limited environmental testing, and other services.

Henry & Stark County Health Department offers lead poisoning screening.

The Fulton County ESDA develops and implements strategies to mitigate the impact of disasters, including coordinating response efforts.

Central Illinois Service Access (CISA) provides information, assessment, and referral services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. This can include assistance with accessing group homes and other supports.

North Central Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. is a non-profit behavioral health care organization serving La Salle, Bureau, Marshall, Putnam, Fulton, McDonough, and Grundy counties.

In addition to serving as the hub for city services, the lobby of Canton City Hall can be used as a warming or cooling center as announced during extreme temperatures.

Shirette's In Home Care offers a variety of services, including meal preparation, hygiene and grooming assistance, light house cleaning, transportation to and from medical facilities or shopping, and medication supervision. Also offered are respite care to provide caregivers a break, and 24/7 multiple shift care.

The Pregnancy Resource Center is a faith-based clinic offering free pregnancy testing, ultrasound scanning, pregnancy/parenting mentoring, options information, and after abortion support.

The Veterans Assistance program is an emergency and interim financial assistance program and should not be considered to be an ongoing financial supportive program. All assistance provided by the VACPC is predicated on an established standard of need as set forth by IDHS. It is not the intent of either the Commission or the County to provide assistance either less than or in excess of the levels of assistance adopted by IDHS. The following assistance is given upon qualification: *Food Orders and Personal Items: Depending on size of family. *Utilities and Fuel: Utility payments will be made, providing the applicant qualifies in other respects. No deposits or past due bills will be paid to the utility company. *Rent Payments: This Veterans Assistance office does not pay security deposits, back rents, or home finding fees. Rents shall not be paid to relatives unless it is a separate rental dwelling. *Transportation: The VA will provide Transportation for the veteran to the local Veterans Medical Center by the least expensive means when necessary.

Trillium Place East Peoria, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides assessments and outpatient services for mental health and substance use disorders for adults and adolescents. DUI evaluations and related services are also available at this location. Proudly affiliated with Carle Health, Trillium Place is a not-for-profit organization originally formed in April 2019 by joining UnityPoint Health Behavioral Health Services, the Human Service Center, and Tazwood Center for Wellness. With locations in Peoria, East Peoria, Pekin, Lincoln, and Eureka, Trillium Place provides a comprehensive range of mental health and substance use disorder services.

Support groups for caregivers and grandparents raising grandchildren These groups provide assistance, referrals, and advocacy to relatives regardless of their age or economic status; training to caregivers and professionals; and funding for the establishment and maintenance of support groups, as well as conferences, workshops, and emergency assistance..

Positive Health Solutions provides a wide variety of services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQ+ population, as well as certain outreach/prevention programs for the general public*. Services include- -Supporting program-related needs of eligible individuals that meet the Ryan White Program guidelines -Transgender and nonbinary health services, including hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery navigation. -Medical health services (maintain health through routine appointments and immunizations) -Mental health services (support and counseling for individuals, couples, and families) -Wellness education (certified dietitian on staff provides counseling and education about diet, food, and nutrition) -Case management (comprehensive assessment and care plan for services and referrals) -Peer education (supportive staff providing suggestions to all clients about ways to deal with many health issues and improve quality of life) -Outreach* (prevention counseling, testing, education programs, and events addressing the specific needs of the diverse community) -Advocacy (working with the local community and the Advisory Council to speak, act, and vote on behalf of the community)
