The Fulton County Health Department offers a variety of public health services. Also, there is a Free Overdose Prevention Vending Machine located just inside the front doors, available during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Henry County Public Transportation provides demand response (transportation by appointment), curb to curb service throughout Henry, Stark, and Western Bureau Counties. The service also travels to: -Illinois side of the Quad Cities every Tuesday -Princeton the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month -Galesburg the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month -Peoria every Thursday The vehicle arrives at these further destinations by 10:30 A.M. and departs to come back no later than 1:15 P.M. The Restaurant Employee Relief Fund is a program of the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF) that offers emergency assistance to Illinois food and beverage workers facing an unanticipated hardship within the past 90 days such as: accident, illness, injury, death of an immediate family member, or natural disaster. If you are in need of assistance, please complete the online application form. All grant requests will be reviewed. The IRAEF Restaurant Employee Relief Fund grants are awarded to eligible individuals based on available funds and limited to one per individual. Grants cover costs of living expenses for life-altering events and range from $250-$3,000.

The Woodford County Heart House is a homeless shelter for women and children. The Heart House will take domestic violence/abuse victims, but it is not solely an abuse shelter.

Advocates for Access is a center for independent living, empowering and providing services to people living with disabilities in Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Fulton counties. ================================= Please note that for more complex durable medical equipment (DME) such as Hospital Beds, Lift Chairs etc., Advocates for Access connects customers who need them to those who have them to give and/or provides the guidance to get one from their provider. The same goes for blind mobility aids and related items.

The IL Pride Connect Legal Hotline offers free, confidential legal advice and referrals across Illinois for LGBTQIA+ individuals (or concerned family members or friends) who are facing legal issues that impact their health, safety, or access to care. Assistance can include legal issues related to- *Access to health care, including gender-affirming care *Discrimination or harassment *Public benefits like Medicaid or SNAP *Identity documents *Housing or safety concerns *Other legal issues impacting your well-being You'll speak with a trained advocate who can offer one-time advice or refer you to trusted legal partners.

The Life Skills program teaches functional skills in both small group and one-on-one environments. Individuals are given the opportunity for growth in personal care, adult living skills, recreational and leisure experiences, financial managements, artistic expression and social proficiency. ​

The Pediatric Supportive Care team at OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois offers both a monthly pregnancy loss support group and a monthly parent grief support group. The Pregnancy Loss Support Group offers grief support for parents and family members coping with miscarriage and perinatal loss on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Jump Trading Simulation and Training Center-Conference Room AB, 1306 N. Berkeley Ave., Peoria, IL. 6 PM - 7:30 PM. The Parent Grief Support Group offers grief support for parents and family members coping with the death of a child under the age of 18 years old on the 1st Tuesday of every month at Jump Trading Simulation and Training Center-Conference Room AB, 1306 N. Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only). Expenses Ineligible for consideration for payment: *Military debt/repayment, tuition assistance debt/repayment *Cable, internet, secondary phones *Taxes owed of any kind *Rentals of any kind (vehicle, furniture, and/or electronics) *Any other expenses not determined to be a "daily necessity" The eligible and ineligible expense lists are not all inclusive.
