The Fulton County Health Department offers a variety of public health services. Also, there is a Free Overdose Prevention Vending Machine located just inside the front doors, available during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

The Children's Advocacy Center is a safe, comfortable facility where children can discuss the abuse in a compassionate, non-threatening, and child-friendly environment. We work together as a team with law enforcement, child protection agencies, prosecution, advocates, counselors, and medical professionals to evaluate and investigate cases of child abuse while reducing the trauma to children and families.

East Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services offers the Health and Safety Loan (H&S Loan) for East Bluff homeowners in need of financial help in bringing their properties up to health and safety standards. The maximum loan amount is $5,000, with a five-year maximum loan term at 0% interest.

The Breastfeeding Resource Center offers a variety of services and support programs to make breastfeeding work for moms and families. Donor breast milk is available for purchase at the OSF Breastfeeding Resource Center. All breast milk has been pasteurized and is safe for your baby. And, in collaboration with the Mothers' Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes, donor breast milk is also available in an emergency. Emergency donor milk can be purchased 24/7 at the Labor and Delivery Triage Desk on the fifth floor at OSF Saint Francis, (530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61637).

METEC Resource Center assists community members in finding or keeping a home, learning new skills, improving their credit scores, filing their taxes, accessing legal support, and more.

The Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC) of Fulton County is available to assist veterans with their VA administrative needs, like filing claims; re-certifying paperwork with the VA; obtaining military and civilian medical documents, etc. for help with Veterans Administration claims; registering for VA Health Care; and acquiring legal copies of military records to include copies of Certificate of Discharge and Release from Active Duty (DD-214). The VAC has an accredited veteran service officer available to file claims. The office also offers Emergency Financial Assistance to Honorably Discharged Fulton County Veterans who qualify under the Federal Poverty Guidelines. In addition, the Veterans Assistance Commission provides free transportation to and from VA Health Care Facility appointments in Illinois and Iowa. These rides are on a first come first serve basis. Veterans should call in to reserve their ride immediately upon notification of their next appointment.

The One Peoria Back to School & Health Fair takes place on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Glen Oak Park. The event offers free backpacks, school supplies, and uniforms, with priority given to the first 200 kids. School and sports physicals will also be available, along with free food, drinks, and carnival games.
