Cordoba Healthcare works with local doctors, nurses, community volunteers, and students to provide a free specialty medical clinic model. Areas of specialization include cardiology, gastroenterology and liver, nephrology (kidney disease), pulmonary, basic dental services (depending on situation), and more. Cordoba collaborates with Heartland Health Services and local hospitals to receive referrals for specialty treatment, but also accepts self-referrals from patients. The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is a nonprofit serving people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). Callers receive personalized information about multiple sclerosis and connections to local and national resources related to MS. Service coordinators and peer counselors can talk through needs, answer questions, and help find the right support. Through the helpline, people with MS can also learn about and apply for a variety of support programs (eligibility usually requires an MS diagnosis), such as *Emergency Assistance Grant -- financial help for urgent needs like rent or utility bills (documentation required) *Healthcare Assistance Grant -- helps uninsured individuals pay for neurologist or dental visits *Homecare Assistance Grant – short-term homecare, caregiver respite, therapy services *Transportation Assistance Grant – funding for paratransit or rides to medical appointments (Lyft/Uber) and minor car repairs *Assistive Technology Program – info and partial funding for devices that aid daily living (e.g., canes, adaptive tech) *Computer Program – provides computers to help people with MS stay connected. *Cooling Program – cooling vests and accessories for heat sensitivity. In addition, the helpline can connect callers to peer counseling, advice on local support groups, and online communities.

The Disability Transit/CityLift "door to door" service provides a transportation option for 18- to 59-year-old residents of urban Washington with a mobility disability. The service can transport to points within the Washington urban area, as well as in East Peoria and Peoria. Prior to utilizing the program, an interested person will need to submit an application to the Washington Township Office for approval. -------------------------------------------------------------------- FOR CONVENIENCE, IMMEDIATELY BELOW ARE OTHER RIDE PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE IN THE WASHINGTON AREA (Please note that the other ride programs immediately below do not require an application, while the Disability Transit/CityLift "door to door" service for 18- to 59-year old urban Washington residents with a mobility disability does require an application; the details of that application are explained further down this page) Paratransit service or referral for individuals aged 60 plus is already provided by Central Illinois Agency on Aging in the Washington urban area. For Sunnyland residents who are already qualified to ride the CityLift transit bus to points in East Peoria and Peoria and want to travel to the City of Washington must fill out and submit the Washington Rider Application to Washington Township. Transportation for rural Washington Township residents is provided through We Care in Morton. We Care will transport persons who are mobility challenged, with or without disabilities, to and from rural points as well as from city to rural, rural to city, but not city to city or point to point within a city. Persons may call We Care directly at 309-263-7708. Don't forget that Washington Township provides the 62+ Ride Service for seniors 62 and over through TDK Event Services for individuals who live in and are traveling to points within Washington Township, or from Washington Township to medical appointments in Peoria, East Peoria, or Morton. The Illinois Valley Fuller Center for Housing is a volunteer-based organization that focuses on repairing homes owned by military veterans in Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties.

The Groveland Township can occasionally help qualifying residents with rent and utilities (due to emergency situation), and it administers a general relief/assistance program. St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Minonk has a 24/7 food pantry at the top of the church ramp, on the east side of the church, available to residents of Minonk in need. Food, cleaning, hygiene items, and pet food are consistently stocked. In addition, St. Pat's has items for new mothers/infants, including diapers, wipes, water, formula, clothing, and blankets.
