The purpose of Emergency Management Agency is to mitigate potential hazards, plan for, coordinate, respond to and aid in recovery from all disaster situations whether natural or man-made. Woodford County Emergency Management Agency (WEMA) provides disaster response coordination for all unincorporated areas of Woodford County and coordinates between the State of Illinois and any incorporated area of the county during disaster events.

Prospect United Methodist Church in Dunlap offers a food pantry for residents of Northern Peoria County.

The Heartland Health Services Mobile Health Center offers psychiatric and substance use services in Peoria and Pekin. For psychiatric services, the mobile center focuses on psychiatric medication management, but can refer into the main Heartland Health Services provider network for mental health counseling and additional services. For substance use services, the center includes both a counseling component and the option of medication assisted recovery.

The Loft of Peoria offers rehabilitation and nursing care.

The Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center is a school for children ages 3 to 7 years old and their families. The early childhood program provides care and education in a developmentally appropriate, NAEYC Accredited environment. Guided by the philosophy that all children can learn, Valeska operates year round serving approximately 400 at-risk children from all areas of Peoria Public Schools. Children will gain accelerated development of social, emotional, language, and cognitive ability in a secure and stable environment. Children enter the center and join one of our four villages. Valeska's villages serve as a hub for many family and community activities.

New Life Fellowship Church offers a food pantry in honor of East Peoria Police Officer Tara Beeney on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Handout begins at 10:30 a.m. This takes place at 1014 Derby St in Pekin. The Clothing Pantry is at a different time and location: Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 515 S. 3rd St in Pekin (Tara Beeney Blessing Room)

If you are using a Link card, Link Up Illinois will match your Link purchase dollar-for-dollar, up to $25 per cardholder/per swipe, no limit on swipes per day. The HOPE Chest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sells and sometimes donates furniture, appliances, and other household items. The organization also offers a food and pet pantry. Please note that the pantry is at 1416 N. 8th St.

SEAPCO partners with member districts and families to to serve students with diverse educational needs in all Peoria County school districts, except for District 150.

Provides one-time financial assistance grants (up to $2,500) to eligible active-duty service members, activated Guard or Reserve members, and their families who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to deployment, military-related injury, or service-related circumstances. Assistance may help cover basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, or other essential bills. Grants are paid directly to creditors and do not require repayment. Expenses Eligible for consideration of payment (daily necessities): *Housing expenses - mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowners’ insurance (establishing residence/insurance or paying off expenses for a residence that is no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Vehicle expenses - payments, repairs, insurance (purchasing/paying off loan, major repairs for vehicles over 10 years old, registering, establishing insurance will not be considered) *Utilities (establishing/paying off utilities for a residence no longer being occupied will not be considered) *Childcare *Medical bills (the patient’s portion for necessary or emergency medical care only). Expenses Ineligible for consideration for payment: *Military debt/repayment, tuition assistance debt/repayment *Cable, internet, secondary phones *Taxes owed of any kind *Rentals of any kind (vehicle, furniture, and/or electronics) *Any other expenses not determined to be a "daily necessity" The eligible and ineligible expense lists are not all inclusive. ADDWC provides training programs that teach employable skills through group instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on learning. Individuals are given the opportunity to utilize their abilities through our community recycling program. Individuals are trained in various aspects of the recylcing process and learn valuable skills while providing a service that benefits the environment and the community. ​

The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is a nonprofit serving people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). Callers receive personalized information about multiple sclerosis and connections to local and national resources related to MS. Service coordinators and peer counselors can talk through needs, answer questions, and help find the right support. Through the helpline, people with MS can also learn about and apply for a variety of support programs (eligibility usually requires an MS diagnosis), such as *Emergency Assistance Grant -- financial help for urgent needs like rent or utility bills (documentation required) *Healthcare Assistance Grant -- helps uninsured individuals pay for neurologist or dental visits *Homecare Assistance Grant – short-term homecare, caregiver respite, therapy services *Transportation Assistance Grant – funding for paratransit or rides to medical appointments (Lyft/Uber) and minor car repairs *Assistive Technology Program – info and partial funding for devices that aid daily living (e.g., canes, adaptive tech) *Computer Program – provides computers to help people with MS stay connected. *Cooling Program – cooling vests and accessories for heat sensitivity. In addition, the helpline can connect callers to peer counseling, advice on local support groups, and online communities.
