CARES stands for Crisis and Referral Entry Services. The program handles mental health crisis calls for children and youth in Illinois. CARES links parents, caregivers, or callers to a special screening, assessment and support program known as SASS. CARES will ask questions about the child's behavior. Then CARES will either send the local SASS to see you and your child or refer you to mental health or other services. If the child or adolescent is in immediate danger, please 911 instead.

The Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC) is a not-for-profit organization of caregivers and respite providers dedicated to advocating support for families by ensuring access to quality respite services for the residents of Illinois. The IRC is dedicated to spreading the awareness of lifespan respite for caregivers of individuals with special needs. The IRC is able to assist caregivers by connecting them to resources in their area, providing training on respite topics, and offering funding for emergency respite care.

Trillium Place provides comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder services. Mental health outpatient services include counseling, community-based services, and psychiatry. Substance use disorder programs include inpatient, outpatient, medication assisted treatment, and detoxification services. Unmet Needs is there to help America's military families who have run into unexpected financial difficulties as a result of deployment or other military-related activity or injury. The program provides financial aid grants of up to $1,500 to assist with basic life needs in the form of a grant - not a loan - so no repayment is required. To further ease the burden, we pay the creditor directly.

Oak Street Health's Peoria Clinic is a primary care center for adults on Medicare and is the only primary care provider to carry the AARP name. Oak Street Health also helps patients maximize their Medicare coverage and coordinate other healthcare services such as specialist appointments and social services. Care teams develop personalized preventive care plans to help patients achieve their physical and mental health goals. Services offered at the Peoria location include primary care, chronic condition care (especially focused on those ages 65+), help navigating Medicare benefits, wellness and preventive care, and immunizations (Flu, COVID-19, and more). Oak Street Health's Peoria Clinic also serves as a cooling or warming center during business hours for those needing a break from extreme temperatures.
