Women's Care Center is faith-based organization that offers free, confidential counseling, support, and education to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Services include confirmation of pregnancy and ultrasounds, but the center does not provide ongoing prenatal care or abortions. In addition to the listed services, the Women's Care Center offers the following program: Crib Club/BABE The Crib Club/BABE program provides cribs, diapers, clothing and other baby items under an incentive system that rewards participation in parenting classes, prenatal care and other programs. Coupons are provided which can be redeemed at the Crib Club stores.

The Peoria Medical Society has a Mediation Committee which will try to assist the physicians who are members of the society and patients to amicably resolve minor misunderstandings.

Core programs include- *Financial Stability Program The purpose of the Financial Stability program is to help participants to increase their revenue while decreasing their expenses, thus helping them to improve their quality of life. This is a case management program that provides financial, credit and employment education, training, coaching and mentorship while providing basic needs like food, clothing, transportation, healthcare, and hygiene products. *Citizenship Classes Includes assistance with application process & Individual Attention/Support. Completely free. *La Familia La Familia Program that strives to restore dignity and protect our local Latino community by providing culturally responsive and healing support across the lifespan, from children to seniors. *S.T.E.A.M.S Academy An after-school program for K-8th graders that focuses on increasing learning potential with a concentration on one-on-one tutoring, enrichment activities and service learning opportunities. It features the S.T.E.A.M.S curriculum, which includes First Lego League, allowing children to research, design, and build Lego Robot. The goal is that the children grow to love learning and look beyond simply passing their school courses, but dream to excel far beyond. When school is out for the summer, there is an eight-week Summer Camp program focusing on leadership development that provides four consecutive 2-week camp themes with an enriching diverse program in a fun and safe environment. The children learn about healthy living, giving back to one's community through service learning, and social and emotional well-being. *Pathway to YOUR Future Designed specifically to prepare, teach, and support high school students' transition into adulthood. The goal is to be able to provide high school students with resources to develop life skills and different course certification opportunities to increase post-grad jobs right out of high school. *Parent Mentor Program Parent Mentors volunteer in classrooms for 2 hours/day for at least 100 hours. The Parent Mentors are supported by weekly training on classroom instructional practices and leadership training. As a result, they support each other to pursue their goals and unite the school community for long-term change. *Peoria Peacekeepers The Peoria Peacekeepers Network is a referral program established by the Peoria Friendship House that focuses on using a restorative justice approach to provide juvenile offenders who have admitted to committing certain eligible offenses, misdemeanors, or felony. Juvenile offenders are given the opportunity to make restitution, connect with the community, and receive needed services and support. Peoria Friendship House works in tandem with various organizations to provide aid to juvenile offenders via referral sources such as the Peoria Police Department Station Adjustments, Peoria Public Schools discipline referrals, and Peoria County Probation Informal Supervision.

Positive Health Solutions provides a wide variety of services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQ+ population, as well as certain outreach/prevention programs for the general public*. Services include- -Supporting program-related needs of eligible individuals that meet the Ryan White Program guidelines -Transgender and nonbinary health services, including hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery navigation. -Medical health services (maintain health through routine appointments and immunizations) -Mental health services (support and counseling for individuals, couples, and families) -Wellness education (certified dietitian on staff provides counseling and education about diet, food, and nutrition) -Case management (comprehensive assessment and care plan for services and referrals) -Peer education (supportive staff providing suggestions to all clients about ways to deal with many health issues and improve quality of life) -Outreach* (prevention counseling, testing, education programs, and events addressing the specific needs of the diverse community) -Advocacy (working with the local community and the Advisory Council to speak, act, and vote on behalf of the community)

The Central Illinois Agency on Aging provides aging and older adult support groups. These groups provide assistance, referrals, and advocacy to relatives regardless of their age or economic status; training to caregivers and professionals; and funding for the establishment and maintenance of support groups as well as conferences, workshops, and emergency assistance.

The City of Peoria administers relief programs that once were under its township. Coverage area is primarily west of Western Avenue, north of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, and south of Nebraska Avenue (the City of West Peoria).

The Veterans Assistance Commission is an agency that is operated by and for veterans. The commission provides aid to those indigent veterans and their families residing in Tazewell County who meet eligibility requirements.

The Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program's (IHWAP) primary purpose is helping low-income Illinois residents save energy and money while increasing the comfort of their homes. IHWAP accomplishes this by installing weatherization measures that pay for themselves over their expected service life. IHWAP also addresses home health and safety issues where they are connected to home energy and indoor air quality. IHWAP is not a home improvement nor a home rehabilitation program. Areas that weatherization focuses on include: properly running and efficient heat source, attic and sidewall insulation, caulking and weather stripping existing doors and windows. IHWAP is NOT a door or window replacement program. If a home has major structural or health & safety concerns, it will be deferred from IHWAP. Tazwood Community Services acts as the Home Weatherization Assistance Program for Tazewell, Woodford, and Peoria counties.

Aktion Club Aktion Club is a community service organization for adults with disabilities and is affiliated with the Kiwanis Club. Learn how you can give back to your community through service projects. The club meets once a month. Each meeting features a business meeting, program or project and snacks. Come be a part of this worthwhile and rewarding activity. There are 2 locations to participate. This programs is Free and for ages 21+. No registration required. Students will be guided on how to use a variety of glass fusing products and materials to create 10 pieces of original jewelry. Trillium Place on Jefferson, an affiliate of Carle Health, provides outpatient mental health services, including psychiatric assessment, medication management, counseling, and community mental health services. The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR)-Family Support Hotline connects families in crisis with reliable and immediate information, referrals to legal, ministry, and social services. It also allows reporting of critical concerns, such as ICE activity (or assistance with locating someone in ICE custody) or Trust Act violations.

The organization serves the communities of central Illinois through youth health education programs, senior programs, mental health programs, and cancer programs and services.

Peoria Jobs Partnership is a Christian mentoring program for people who might be experiencing problems getting gainful employment. For the general public, there is the Community Program. The curriculum includes 12 classes, taught by different community professionals over a 12-week period. Students are required to complete homework for each class, and are awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program. The Community Program allows students access to great instructor/ practitioners, and allows them contacts with community leaders that can act as advocates for them when they seek employment. Additional programs, such as Solar Training and the Fresh Start Workshop, are offered for individuals with a felony in their background and those re-entering society from incarceration. People call for help with substance abuse, economic worries, relationship and family problems, sexual orientation, illness, getting over abuse, depression, mental and physical illness, and even loneliness. ===================================== For life-threatening concerns, please call 911 or be taken to your nearest emergency department. ===================================== Moving to 988 does not mean the 1-800-273-8255 number goes away. After July 16, 2022, using either number will get people to the same services. In the end, 988 is an easier-to-remember way to access a strengthened and expanded network of crisis call centers.
