Aktion Club Aktion Club is a community service organization for adults with disabilities and is affiliated with the Kiwanis Club. Learn how you can give back to your community through service projects. The club meets once a month. Each meeting features a business meeting, program or project and snacks. The Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program's (IHWAP) primary purpose is helping low-income Illinois residents save energy and money while increasing the comfort of their homes. IHWAP accomplishes this by installing weatherization measures that pay for themselves over their expected service life. IHWAP also addresses home health and safety issues where they are connected to home energy and indoor air quality. IHWAP is not a home improvement nor a home rehabilitation program. Areas that weatherization focuses on include: properly running and efficient heat source, attic and sidewall insulation, caulking and weather stripping existing doors and windows. IHWAP is NOT a door or window replacement program. If a home has major structural or health & safety concerns, it will be deferred from IHWAP. Tazwood Community Services acts as the Home Weatherization Assistance Program for Tazewell, Woodford, and Peoria counties.

The Money Management Program is a volunteer program that matches trained and bonded volunteers with seniors who need help managing their finances. The volunteers can organize and pay bills, establish and maintain budgets, assist in applying for financial programs and assist with setting and achieving financial goals.

Spoon River Home Health's home health care services include nursing assessments, wound care, medication management, education, and IV therapy, as well as therapy services -Physical, Occupation and Speech therapies. The Non-Medical side offers 24 hour care, personal care, transportation, companionship, and many more services. Services are set up based on individuals needs. A home visit is made to discuss services, develop a personalized care plan and provide the best possible services to help keep the person safe in their home. Spoon River Home Health also provide emergency response systems for those who are not quite ready for home care but are looking for peace of mind.

Women's Care Center is faith-based organization that offers free, confidential counseling, support, and education to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Services include confirmation of pregnancy and ultrasounds, but the center does not provide ongoing prenatal care or abortions. In addition to the listed services, the Women's Care Center offers the following program: Crib Club/BABE The Crib Club/BABE program provides cribs, diapers, clothing and other baby items under an incentive system that rewards participation in parenting classes, prenatal care and other programs. Coupons are provided which can be redeemed at the Crib Club stores.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) provides support, advocacy, and resources for victims of drunk and drug-impaired driving, as well as prevention and education services aimed at ending impaired driving. The organization's 24/7 Victim Helpline is a confidential, toll-free line that provides emotional support, information, and referrals for individuals and families impacted by drunk or drug-impaired driving crashes. Assistance can include help navigating the criminal justice system, victims’ rights, compensation options, and community-based victim services. In addition, MADD can assist in locating Victim Impact Panels, which are educational programs where victims or survivors share personal stories about the consequences of impaired driving. These are typically court-ordered for individuals convicted of DUI/DWI offenses, but may also be attended voluntarily. They are offered in many communities and sometimes available online, depending on location.
