The Fulton County Health Department serves as a site for the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program for Fulton, McDonough, and Schuyler counties. The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program offers free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to eligible women. Even if a woman has already been diagnosed with cancer, she may receive free treatment through the program if she qualifies.

Providing respite and support to kids in the foster care system. IPS provides short-term placement, stabilization, and services to minors who are at-risk of being removed from a foster home, including traditional foster care, relative foster care, or specialized foster care in Peoria County. Services are based on the ARC model and can include therapy, family support, crisis intervention, tutoring, recreation, school advocacy, and psychosocial education. Living By Your Design Inc. assists seniors and disabled individuals, as well as their families, in finding appropriate home care, independent living, assisted living, and nursing homes; and in navigating questions regarding disability, senior, and veterans benefits. The office is able to provide expert guidance on Social Security questions. Among the case management services offered by Living by Your Design are one on one case management with a nurse, as well as bill paying assistance.

Oxford House is a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In its simplest form, an Oxford House describes a democratically run, self-supporting, and drug-free home. Parallel to this concept lies the organizational structure of Oxford House, Inc. This publicly supported, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation is the umbrella organization which provides the network connecting all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to duplicate the Oxford House concept where needs arise. The number of residents in a House may range from six to fifteen; there are houses for men, houses for women, and houses which accept women with children, as well as men with children. Oxford Houses exist in several Illinois counties.

You can receive help from Smart Start at no cost if: -You are pregnant or have an infant under age 1, and -You live in Peoria County, and -You qualify under the state's income guidelines How does Smart Start work? The Smart Start team will work with clients to help them determine the services they need and then assist them in connecting with the service providers. No transportation? No problem. Smart Start case managers do home visits Monday through Friday. *Smart Start can potentially assist their clients with cribs, pack 'n plays, and car seats.
