The Community Workshop and Training Center’s Community Integration Program provides a goal oriented program of services that assist in the development of skills in the areas of community access, communication, socialization, pre-vocational skills and academic skills. Also under this umbrella is the Older Adult Program which focuses on the issues associated with the impact of aging on social, physical, employment and psychosocial needs.

Dream Center Peoria offers a 24/7 emergency shelter that includes snacks, showers, a bed to sleep in, breakfast, lunch, dinner, job readiness assistance, case management services, and storage (not for furniture). Phones can be utilized for job interviews. Day services also include showers and cooling/warming center availability for their eligible population (single women; mothers with children; single fathers with children; couples with and without children; and other family units) even if they are not staying at the Dream Center.

Oak Street Health's Peoria Clinic is a primary care center for adults on Medicare and is the only primary care provider to carry the AARP name. Oak Street Health also helps patients maximize their Medicare coverage and coordinate other healthcare services such as specialist appointments and social services. Care teams develop personalized preventive care plans to help patients achieve their physical and mental health goals. Services offered at the Peoria location include primary care, chronic condition care (especially focused on those ages 65+), help navigating Medicare benefits, wellness and preventive care, and immunizations (Flu, COVID-19, and more). Oak Street Health's Peoria Clinic also serves as a cooling or warming center during business hours for those needing a break from extreme temperatures.

The Helpline is the only statewide, public resource for finding substance use treatment and recovery services in Illinois. PLEASE NOTE that this service tracks recovery resources for ALL SUBSTANCES (including alcohol). The Helpline refers to hundreds of treatment and recovery providers across Illinois. Helpline services are free and confidential. Anyone can use the Helpline, whether the person is struggling with a substance use disorder or cares about someone who is. Trained Helpline Specialists answer questions, provide support, and connect the caller with services in Illinois. ---------------------------------------- The Illinois Helpline also offers medication on demand to IL residents seeking treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD). Medication-assisted recovery (MAR) involves the use of FDA-approved medications for treatment of OUD and AUD. Now an individual can speak directly with a provider over the phone, immediately receive a prescription or expedited, in-person appointment, and get transportation assistance to the pharmacy or clinic- all initiated through one phone call. Callers can access MAR NOW 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Care managers help callers determine their best treatment options and connect them to a provider for an immediate telephone appointment and medication prescription. Care coordinators can also facilitate a same- or next-day, in-person appointment. All callers are connected to ongoing treatment with a community provider that best meets their needs.

Grace Baptist Church offers a monthly food pantry that includes toiletries, canned and packaged food, baby items, and specialty items.

The Hult Center for Healthy Living is Peoria's largest non-profit provider of comprehensive health education and wellness services for people of all ages. The organization serves the communities of central Illinois through youth health education programs, senior programs, mental health programs, and cancer programs and services.

The Pearce Community Center offers before and after school programs.

Goodwill offers an addictions/substance use disorder support group that is veteran specific.

TMCSEA strives to promote programming and services that enable students with disabilities to maximize their individual potential and become contributing members of society.

The Fulton County Health Department offers a variety of public health services. Also, there is a Free Overdose Prevention Vending Machine located just inside the front doors, available during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Family Connects is a free postpartum home visiting program available to any family who resides in Peoria County. Children's Home can provide Tri-County students with therapy to help address social, emotional, and mental health needs. Children's Home collaborates with Peoria Public Schools and Central District 51 and provides full-time counselors in various schools to offer students therapy services. Individuals are referred to the program by staff members, teachers, parents/caregivers, or the school counselor. Once the client is identified and deemed appropriate for services, attempts are made to engage their parent or guardian for in-home family counseling services, case management, and community referrals

North Central Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. is a non-profit behavioral health care organization serving La Salle, Bureau, Marshall, Putnam, Fulton, McDonough, and Grundy counties.

The National Runaway Safeline offers a runaway/homeless youth helpline.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR)-Family Support Hotline connects families in crisis with reliable and immediate information, referrals to legal, ministry, and social services. It also allows reporting of critical concerns, such as ICE activity (or assistance with locating someone in ICE custody) or Trust Act violations.

The Pathway Ministries Women's Residential Center provides an emergency shelter for single women and also offers nutritious meals, chapel services, clean clothes, showers, and case management services. Please note that this site was formerly known as the Esther House.

The Peoria Humane Society is sometimes able to assist those in need with veterinary expenses for sick or injured pets.
